The Time Traveller
This collection continues to develop the "Memory Repetition" concept, now exploring its form within a more commercial context. Central to the collection is the use of cog elements, which symbolize the flow of time. Like the turning gears of a clock, these cogs represent time itself—constantly moving, taking memories with it. The collection seeks to examine the intricate relationship between memory and time, where cogs, rotating in harmony, embody the idea of repetition, much like how our memories resurface and intertwine. The varying sizes and layers of the cogs also reflect the fragmented and unpredictable nature of human memory.
The motion of these pieces invites the viewer to become a traveller through time and memory, lost in the complexity of their own recollections.
Materials such as coloured acrylic, along with silver- or gold-plated brass, bring this concept to life. The collection consists of a ring and brooch featuring a meshing transmission mechanism, as well as another ring and a pair of earrings with a rotating mechanism. Each piece is available in five colours: transparent, transparent blue, frosted blue, frosted white, and frosted pink. Additionally, the collection includes a one-of-a-kind meshing transmission bow tie.
